« Real Wedding: Jillian and Kevin - Part III »

Jillian and Kevin clearly had fun at their wedding! The favorite part of the day according to the bride though...

WOW…that is hard to say. We loved it all and thought every minute was absolutely perfect. I guess, the obvious answer would have to be the karaoke and white castles the last 45 minutes of the reception…ha, just kidding, but that was super fun! When Kevin and I were chatting about this question, Kevin said it was when I walked down the aisle and he saw me for the first time. I would probably have to say or vows or when my grandfather, who is 89 years old miraculously got off of his walker and spun me around and danced with me for our father-daughter dance with Kevin then taking over and ending the dance. It was a true miracle and very special. I also loved when Kevin and all of the guys at the reception sang “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling.” Honestly, it was all completely beautiful, fun and perfect. It’s very hard to narrow down a favorite moment, as we have been replaying in our minds the big day over and over again (for weeks now) and saying remember that, remember this. Such a happy time to look back upon.

The groom’s cake consisted of UK, Reds and Bengals designs and decor, Kevin’s favorite sports traditions and our wedding cake had Kevin’s parent’s cake topper from their wedding.

From the bride...

It was also important for us to start our own traditions like the ‘Rock the reception’ dance. Our bridal party were great sports and learned the dance in 2 hours before the rehearsal dinner. The rock the reception dance was a ‘dance off’ between the guys and girls to Beyonce “Single Ladies,” JT “Sexy Back” and a group dance to MJ’s “Beat It,” just to name a few of the songs! It was priceless. We even had ring pops, sunglasses and hats as props.

Best wishes to Jillian and Kevin, and a huge thank you to Jessica Strickland!

I love the bridesmaid dresses. Anyone know who they are made by?

Erin, I LOVE the post!! It truly takes me back to that special day. Thank you for thinking of us! Also, to answer the question, our bridesmaid dresses are by Jenny Yoo in three different styles and in shantung mist blue. We purchased ours at Bella Bridesmaid.
Thanks again,
-Jillian (&Kevin)
