Vita Dolce Chocolates is a small chocolate business based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, specializing in artisan chocolates and truffles. Each piece of chocolate is hand crafted to perfection with the finest of ingredients. Details are important.

I started Vita Dolce with my best friend of over 20 years, Dana. The business came about after Dana asked me to make her chocolate wedding favors for her wedding in May of 2008. I, of course, said yes! It has always been a tradition in my family that we made hand crafted chocolates for weddings and Dana was no stranger to my family. Putting together the favors for her big day was a blast. After the wedding we started to put together ideas of how we should start a chocolate business and provide brides with gorgeous favors for their wedding guests. By the fall of 2008, our idea became a reality. We launched our website, and have enjoyed building our sweet chocolate business ever since.
A lot of people ask us "what does Vita Dolce mean?". Vita Dolce is Italian for the Sweet Life. Italian, because of my family roots. And sweet life, because what else makes life sweeter than chocolate?

It is a hard decision between the caramel and the raspberry truffle. Guess I just need both!
I would have a hard time deciding between the caramel and the peanut butter. I'd probably choose peanut butter though because it's my fiance's favorite.

Oh my gosh, could these chocolates GET any cuter?!?! I wish I had known about this before choosing my favors. "Sweet life" is totally appropriate because chocolate is definitely what makes this life so sweet! :) Gosh, I went to the website...I'd have so much trouble choosing how to spend my $25; however, I am a huge fan or milk chocolate toffees. I love truffles though, too. The website is darling. I love all the colors! :) Hope I win!
I would have to go with either the mint truffle, white artisan chocolates, or the milk chocolate mints.
Mint truffles definitely. Mint and chocolate is the perfect pairing to me.
They all look so yummy! The mint truffles are my top pick. If I won the gift certificate, I would probably select the assorted milk chocolate truffles to give to my father. He loves truffles! It would be great to have a box of those waiting for him at home after my wedding as a small token of thanks.

I love toffee so I would go with the milk chocolate toffee. If I had to choose a truffle flavor, it would be the hazelnut! Yum!
There's no better combo than chocolate and peanut butter. The website is so clean and beautiful.
I certainly cannot pick ONE favorite! Its a toss up between coconut (and I wasn't even a fan of coconut until I had a Vita Dolce coconut truffle!!!), raspberry, hazelnut and then there's double chocolate truffles! But I sure would looooove to try a dark chocolate toffee crunch! I don't think I've had that yet and if I had then I would love to relive the taste! So you see...I would definitely have to get an assorted box and share it of course!
The toasted almond artisan truffled look like they are probably to die for, I love the designs!

i love any chocolate EXCEPT for things with fruity gooey centers like cherry cordials and raspberry chocolates. aside from that, i love peanut butter, mint, coffee/espresso, and peppercorn flavored chocolates! sigh... chocolate...
