« Real Wedding: Clary Photo - Amy and Brent »
Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 8:00AM I am thrilled to welcome back Clary Phototo Lucky Me today. Amy and Brent's wedding immediately caught my eye because of my love of autumn. The colors used throughout their day were stunning. I may have been drawn in by the decor, but I stayed and read a little about the couple on Clary's blog, and the romantic in me knew I had to share their day with you.
From the bride...
"Brent and I have been together for 14 years. We met in college at the University Writing Center and argued about the word "topography." We have a lot of stories together. We wanted to share them with our guests, so we peppered 5 x 7 frames around the venue with a short story in each one... about the proposal, our first date, our first apartment, the lyrics to our first dance song, etc. We got a lot of compliments on how fun it was to come upon new stories throughout the night."

The talented floral designer behind this event - the bride's mother! She drew inspiration from the bride's simple, yet vintage gown. Lots of elegant, cream flowers played against the natural background of Oliva on the Hill in Saint Louis, Missouri.

This early evening wedding used lights, candles, feathers, and beautiful flowers to give it an elegant, classic, yet fun feel.

The bride's favorite moment of the day... "Gosh, there were so many favorite moments... Seeing Brent for the first time before the ceremony (we had a private moment in the bride's room just the two of us. I highly recommend it)... seeing all our friends and family... reciting our vows at the same time to each other. Brent actually wrote them. I only changed 4 words because they were perfect.
As for our photographs, Clary did an absolutely incredible job. I was speechless. What amazed me most was how well she captured the emotions and happiness and joy of the night. Next to marrying Brent, the photos turned out to be my favorite part of the wedding."
Best wishes Amy and Brent, and a thank you Clary Photo for sharing your work!
