Elizabeth Messina could truly inspire "pigs to fly" as we say here in Cincinnati. The work that she posts daily on Kiss the Groom is exquiste. Although the photograph included is an inaminate object, I am still inspired. Trying to choose a favorite shot from Kiss the Groom would be impossible. It changes daily! I am putting together the last of my summer inspiration boards since we are quickly moving into autumn, my favorite season. What has been your favorite trend of the summer?

Although Florida is known for its unending sunshine, I often think of the state's color more in an orange hue. Florida oranges are delicious, and their sunsets often come in an array of orange variations. Typically I associate orange with fall leaves, but during the winter, when it is grey, cold, and drab, I am so glad to indulge in a Florida orange. Are you using orange in your wedding palette? What season do you associate with this bold color with?

The summer blues usually hit me when Labor Day rolls around. The end of summer is always bittersweet. Autumn is my favorite season, but flip flops are my favorite footwear, so I am going to enjoy the remaining warm, sunny weather. Will you be celebrating the end of summer as the days grow shorter?

Anemones are one of my favorite flowers. The contrast of their black center and light, feminine petals is stunning. This board combines a classic, traditional combination - pink and black. The color palette, in addition to this year's trend of ruffles makes this board extremely light, airy, and romantic. I do not think I will ever tire of these contrasting colors. Is there an classic palette that you keep coming back to?

An instant reminder that it is summer is watermelon. Pink and green are a classic, feminine combination. The shades can vary, but I think for this season a combination of light and medium shades are perfect. The refreshing beverage in the corner could be an ideal signature drink for an outside tented wedding. Have you found inspiration for your event in the produce section?

Music and Lyrics is one of my all time favorite chick flicks. It made for a perfect date film when my husband and I went to see in on opening night, Valentine's Day a few years ago. Music plays such a large role - not only for weddings, but many important events in our daily lives. I love the inspiration from the sheet music confetti. Black and white are a classic palette, and accents of any color will flow flawlessly with these two foundation colors. Have you drawn inspiration from a movie or a piece of music for your wedding?

I figured it is time to start creating a few summer time boards, since it is officially summer. I used to be very strict in my thinking about color for weddings; only two colors, must be something like red and back or green and white. However, the blogging world has definitely opened my eyes to different color palettes. This palette is full of blues, pastel pinks, yellows, and and a touch of peach.
